The Location of Miqat for Ihram:

It is the appointed place where a pilgrim may not proceed to Makkah without being in a state of Ihram.

People coming to Makkah from different directions have different locations (Miqat) for the start of Ihram:

- The Miqat of the people of Madinah: Dhul- Hulaifa, also known as Abar Ali.
- The Miqat of the people of Sham: Al Juhfah (Rabegh).
- The Miqat of the people of Iraq: Dhat ‘Irq.
- The Miqat of the people of Yemen: Yalamlam.

He who wants to perform ‘Umrah while in Makkah should go out to Al-Tan‘eem (the Mosque of lady ‘Aisha may Allah be pleased with her) and starts hid Ihram from there.
